For
over thirty years, Wesley Senior Ministries has been serving
senior adults as an outreach of The United Methodist Church.
It is a housing and healthcare ministry chartered to provide
caring services that enhance the quality of living for elderly
persons, regardless of race, creed, sex, disabling condition
or the ability to pay. All Wesley communities are ecumenical
in both staff and residents. Serving the whole person in body,
mind and spirit is a commitment of each community. We respond
to needs in the following ways:
- Service-rich environment at all levels of care
- Housing for the elderly and disabled
- Social life and structured activities
- Family services
- Pastoral care
- Regular worship experiences
- Bible study
Wesley serves over 2100 residents in 2 nursing care communities,
3 assisted living communities, and 22 senior housing communities
in West Tennessee, Western Kentucky and Arkansas. Sometimes
there is confusion regarding the levels of care available
to older adults.
Senior
housing is designed for those who live independently,
with or without personal supportive services. They choose
to live in an active service-rich community with other seniors.
Assisted living is for
individuals who need to combine their independence with assistance
in personal care such as meals, housekeeping, laundry, monitoring
of medicines, or bathing and dressing.
Nursing care is for residents
who need 24-hour licensed nursing supervision and assistance
with most activities of daily living.
Wesley Senior Ministries is committed to a caring ministry
to residents in Wesley communities. The caring extends to
the families of residents and the Wesley staff. Our goal is
comfortable and affordable care for all who choose to live
in one of the Wesley Senior Ministries communities. For more
